2019 Stanley Clarke Scholarship

The 15th Anniversary of The Stanley Clarke Scholarship presentation will be held February 23, 2019, 8:00 pm, at MI’s new state of-the-art venue: LIVE HOUSE, 1534 N. Highland Ave, LA, CA 90028.  The Stanley Clarke Scholarship is for talented young artists in preparation for a career in music.  Each year the foundation awards scholarships to students, who have exemplified outstanding merit in their field of study as well as financial need. 
This year the event promises performances by the selected students and appearances by major figures in the music industry. Our panel of guest judges will select the scholarship winners. This year our panel of judges and performers includes Stewart Copeland (Police), Sheila E (Prince), Bunny Brunel (CAB), Verdine White (Earth, Wind & Fire), Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton), Aleena Gibson (Songwriter), Sunnie Paxson (Pianist), Armand Sabal-Lecco (Paul Simon Bassist) and Pauline Frechette (Theatrical Composer).
