LA Theatre Works, Sunday, Nov. 16 at 10:00 pm, Henrik Ibsen's Masterpiece "A Doll House," Starring Calista Flockhart

Considered one of the world's greatest playwrights, Henrik Ibsen is often called "the father of modern drama," bringing theatrical realism to modern issues. From "Hedda," "The Master Builder," "Peer Gynt," to "An Enemy of the People," he is probably the most performed playwright after Shakespeare.  In "A Doll House" he advances the idea of a married mother of three seeking fulfillment in a male-dominated world.  Considered one of the first feminist plays, it caused a "storm of controversy" in its day.

Recorded before a live audience at the UCLA James Bridges Theater in September 2011.
