Pacifica's national magazine show connecting labor, race, and democracy struggles across the U.S. and the world.
Capitalism, Race & Democracy (CRD) is produced by the Pacifica National Board and the CRD Collective. It features voices from all five Pacifica stations — WBAI in New York, WPFW in Washington DC, KPFT in Houston, KPFK in Los Angeles, and KPFA/KPFB in Berkeley — alongside Pacifica Affiliates and international reporters.
Formerly COVID, Race & Democracy, the program rebranded as recurring themes became clear: labor exploitation, monopoly power, predatory pricing, imperialism, and corporate narrative control. CRD connects worker struggles, antiwar movements, and grassroots organizing to the larger fight for democracy and justice.
Capitalism, Race & Democracy is made possible by listener support. Help us keep worker voices, grassroots movements, and independent reporting alive on the air.
